One days training programme on "Scientific Poultry Farming" was organised by Division of Animal and Fisheries Sciences at the Poultry Farm of the institute on 13th March, 2025. The programme was funded by TSP component of AICRP on Poultry Breeding. A total of 40 tribal farmers attended the training. During the programme, trainees were made aware regarding scientific housing, feeding, health management and vaccination of the poultry birds. They were also demonstrated regarding biosecurity measures to be followed in any around poultry sheds. During the programme a total of 4000 kg of poultry feed were distributed among the farmers along with veterinary supplements. The trainees thanked the Director of the institute and AICRP on Poultry Breeding for conducting such beneficial programmes for the tribal farmers of the state. Dr Sourabh Deori, Senior Scientist & PI (AICRP on Poultry Breeding) and Dr Rahul Katiyar, Scientist acted as Course Director for the training programme along with active participation of Dr. S. N. Abedin and Dr. Melody Lalhriatpuii.
